480. The 2025 Christmas Pipe Drops Tomorrow, 9/17

This from Andy Wike, Vice President, Marketing:

Peterson Christmas 2025 pipes will be available at Smokingpipes beginning 6:00pm [CDT] on Wednesday, September 17.

“For this year’s edition, we’ve returned to copper as an accenting material, this time in the form of broad bands dressing a variety of Classic Range shapes. All Christmas 2025 pipes also bear our signature rustication over a deep red stain and come complete with vulcanite P-Lip mouthpieces.”

There’s a wonderful array of shapes available this time out, as you can see:

Thanks so much for the preview, but I buck the trend as I’m an acrylic guy. Everyone else s/b happy.

I’m there with you, Mark. They’re beautiful, but I’m actually glad they’re vulcanite, so I’m not tempted. I can’t afford any more pipes this year anyway.

Surprised they didn’t do cobble for this lineup

I’m with you. Not a single rusticated in my stable.

I’m not a fan of the texturing in recent years. The larger “chips” may be time-saving but the finer texturing of past decades made for a more beautiful pipe.

I’ll take a pass.
I have a 2021 Christmas pipe, SH Professor in my rotation, as well as a 2021 unsmoked Christmas SH Watson and a 2022 Christmas XL90 spigot.
I don’t need another to which I can’t get for 4 or 5 years…🤷‍♂️

I think the P-lip on both the St Patrick’s Day pipe and the Christmas pipe shows a commitment to the company’s heritage.

I like that they went with copper, vulcanite, and a P-Lip. But I think the copper would look better on a brown pipe. I don’t like the red stain. (Maybe it looks better in person.) And the P-Lips are not very well defined in most of the pictures I have seen. I wish they had offered the finishes from last year but made them System pipes. Oh well. Maybe next year.

The copper is great the p-lip is great. Would be nice to see some in sandblast.

I am a big fan of the Copper rings and fitments on Peterson pipes. The way they change color and tarnish is beautiful in my yes. I compare them to a case hardened steel which you see on fine long guns and classic doubles. It would have been nice to see some sandblasted pieces.

I simply hate the actual rustication technique. Sorry, but I do.

Not a very festive pipe this year. Savinelli has a little more color.
Spent money this year on 2 POY.
